The question. Paws in Touch teaches dog owners how to understand and train their dogs. Their academy lived inside the main website and no longer fitted their growing community. Elfi and Daniella wanted a place to learn and a place to meet other dog lovers, in one.
What we built. A separate academy website, academy.pawsintouch.be, with a clean look and simple navigation.
- Courses and resources
- Forums and groups, for example for breeds or puppy parents
- An activity feed with the latest chats and tips
- Private messages, also with the trainers
- Automatic email notifications and progress tracking
- A link with their website and CRM
How it fits together. WordPress is the base, LearnDash runs the courses and BuddyBoss adds the community. The hard part was making learning and socialising work as one, so members don't feel two systems.
What we took from it. Getting LearnDash and BuddyBoss to work well together matters most for the member experience. A community takes time to grow, so the platform has to change with it.
